Hannah Stevens

Hannah has served in ministry since 2005. After getting a degree in Psychology and pre-medicine at Furman University, Hannah entered the ministry realm, first serving at the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, NC, and then as a youth intern at Christ Church of Atlanta. In 2008 she joined staff at the International House of Prayer where she remains employed to this day (now GateCity Church).  During her time on staff at GateCity Church and House of Prayer, Hannah served as a worship leader, intercessor, teacher in the school of ministry, and representative of Human Resources.

In the summer of 2018, Hannah entered a ministry leadership program under Ruth Haley Barton known as Transforming Community. This program introduced her to the world of Spiritual Formation and direction. In 2020, Hannah began a Master’s program at Richmont Graduate University in Spiritual Formation and Direction.  She completed the program in May 2023. Hannah serves in pastoral care at GateCity Church and as a spiritual director to the wider community.

Hannah’s personal mission is to be a “space-maker” who makes room for the knowledge and presence of Christ to shift mindsets, environments, and atmospheres unto greater wholeness, freedom, and joy. In whatever role she wears, be it pastor, mother, writer, spiritual director, wife, musician, or friend, she desires to welcome the Bridegroom as a member in our midst, revealing His heart through her transformed life. Hannah’s life Scripture is Psalm 84: 11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
